Hello everyone,
I have lost about 12 lbs ( yeah me) but I find most of my loss seems to be my upper body :o( I have been doing Zumba a few nights a week and looooove it. I have also done Jillian's 30 shredd. Love her too. My friend and I ran a 5k today. Walked some but we were pretty proud of our selves. lol What is a good exercise that will help me lose inches in my lower body. I know you can't spot reduce. Is running a good way to slim the thighs? I read somewhere that lunges and stuff like that are not great for a pear shape. Thanks for your help.

  • I have also found, you really can't spot lose. Which is sad for me because I still am trying to lose a spare tire looking thing around the waist. For me I have found running and even a lot of walking seems to cause all muscles to get some use and slowly takes the weight off from everwhere. but at the same time, probably because my leg muscles have increase in size from the using them, my legs "feel" trimmer than I know they used to be.
  • I do the machines at the gym for my legs and hips. Do light weights with a lot of reps, and it burns fat. You can't really spot reduce, but it helps to burn fat all around.

True you cannot spot lose, but cardio will help you lose in general and that will help the areas that you want to focus on. I think that squats and running helped my legs a bunch.

I can relate...I lost 25 lbs before I lost and inches in hips and thighs! But they are quickly shrinking now. Just stick with it and they will soon shred to!

I do 30 day shred, ripped in 30, walk/jog, and ride stationary bike

yeah it is annoying to lose my boobs and waist first even when they're significantly smaller but it's just the way it does
