A Small Shoe Rant

I am just so frustrated I could scream! I wear a very small size shoe (2 in kids) and I am needing a new pair of running shoes. I love Asics and want another pair but it seems that in the past 6 years their kids shoes have gotten gaudier and gaudier. The ones I like as far as fit and durability come in only rattlesnake looking or even better spiderman looking trim. Why oh why can't they make a basic shoe that I won't be embarassed wearing out in public? And while I'm on this rant, just once in my life I would love to own a pair of open-toed heels! :grumble:

Oh that was supposed to be funny until I read you actually DO have a small shoe rant. Sorry! :blushing:0 -
Have you ever googled to see if they have petite womans shoes on line somewhere? My very good friend is in childrens sizes also and she found a place to sell adult shoes in 3-4.0

Because I am 47 years old and don't want Barbie or Spiderman shoes! I am not talking about a ladies size 5 or 6, I wear a kids size 2 which is approximately 3 sizes smaller than the smallest ladies size out there.0 -
I would totally love to have small feet, for being 30 years old I wear a size 10 in womens, talk about not alot to choose from sometimes.
But I learn to deal with it most of the time.0 -
Wow - that's pretty small... have you tried ordering online or checking speciality stores? Worse comes to worse, I'm sure you could have something made for you in leather (heels).
As for the running shoes - well, the spiderman/flashing lights/god knows what else could be a converstation starter, lol! :laugh:0 -
Check out ebay I saw some Nike shox that were kids and some new balances that looked good.0

Salomon (the ski company) makes amazing running shoes that have zip cords so that you don't have to keep tieing them. And guess what?!? Their kids shoes look just like the adult ones! Actually I'm jealous because the kid's version comes in pink while the adults does not.0

Thanks for the great suggestions, I have always worn Asics as they seem to fit me the best and I am scared to try a different brand since I have to order them online since the town I live in does not have very many stores (pop. 2300). I think I will have to plan a trip to the big city to try on shoes in the near future. :laugh:0

I totally agree.... have big feet sucks! All the cute shoes come in the small sizes. But I guess it sucks to be at either end of the spectrum.0 -
check zappos.com I've ordered from them and their service is really good and they have free shipping.

My friend has the same problem. I hunt everywhere I go just incase the accidently slip in a child shoe that is worth buying. She found a place one time and bought 10 pairs. Lasted ehr like 10 years.
I have size 5 and have problems, cant imagine a 3 or 4.
If I ever run across somethign with her, I will let cha know.
Good luck!:flowerforyou:0 -
