:sad: i cant stop binging and i was doing sooo well :(...i weighed at 201.4 and now i went back to 203.9 almost 204 :brokenheart: ...idk how to control myself again its hard for me :/...i need some motivation i wanna get back to my healthy plan but idk how to start >.<

what are your ideas and how did u manage to stick to them?

    Focus on why you're binging. Sometimes I'm chowing down on chocolate because I'm stressed out about classes. I'll get up, remove the chocolate from near me and instead replace that spot with a big glass of water.
    Whenever I get the urge to want some chocolate for my stress binge, I try to break off a little bit and nibble on that. Or get some fruit!

    Tomorrow is a new day. There are no rituals you have to do to start over on your weightloss goals.

    I totally understand where you are at. I lost 14lbs and in 2 months of falling off the wagon I've put all the weight back on and now I have to start over. It's frustrating and I'm not sure why I'm struggling so hard. Hang in there, we'll figure it out and feel free to add me and anyone else who wants too. We can do this together!!

    thankies!!!.for me its cookies!! its my major weakness and i have em all around the house...if i feel like binging i get my water or tea but now im just like giving in sooo easily!! it makes me sad...but im not giving up!

    Log everything - yes, even the binging!!
    For me, just knowing that I will write down what I eat, really makes me think twice!
    Other suggestions:
    - Plan some snacks so you know what you have to eat for the day
    - Make sure you are actually eating enough calories so your body isn't craving nutrition and pushing you to binge.
    - Find something else to do, where you can't/don't eat. Run, knit, vacuum, sing, dance anything!

    I have to agree with the advice given you need to find out what is triggering the binging and deal with it. Also you need to set up counter measures and follow through with them. You can do it.

    I eat when I feel depressed or stressed out ... I like to binge on snickers minis or chocolate cake. I figured this out when I was going to therapy and after every session I craved my binge foods. I gained big time over the 9 months I was seeing my therapist until I realized that after my sessions I felt so vulnerable and emotionally raw that I was trying to use food to feel whole again.

    One day, I realized that the food was actually helping to keep me depressed. I felt so guilty and ashamed after eating like that... Now, it's not perfect and I still want have intense cravings. You just have to learn to replace the eating with something a lot more positive and fulfilling. And then sometimes I reach for a sugar free jello pudding cup. At 60 calories, there's generally always room for it in my diet.

    *Hugs*. You just have to remember that you are doing this to feel better in the long run and that quick fixes (aka, turning to food) will only help in the short term.

    Make sure you are getting enough to eat other than the cookies. Fiber and protein will keep you feeling full. Lots of water.

    Most important is getting the nutrition you need to stop the cravings for simple carbs.

    I keep a book with motivational sayings. Whenever I find a good one I enter it in my book. When I need a little help I read them.

    Forget mistakes, forget failure, forget everything except what you are going to do now and go do it!!

    The longer you wait to decide what you want to do, the more time you are wasting.

    It's not what you do when you are motivated that counts, it's what you do when you are not.

    I sure know i like cookies! I don't know your home life but if you shop for yourself maybe you can stop yourself somehow in the store from buying any! (or avoid that snack isle all together i know thats what i do!) if you live with others maybe they can help you out buy not buying those kinds of things.
    Another thing is maybe you can find a snack that is good to snack on that is not so fattening as cookies (or whatever) i like wheat thins, or sunflower seeds.

    I've only been on the site about a week so i'm kind of new to supporting others with weight loss or giving helpful tips. i only write what i have tried. for me its a lot of little mental thing i think about before buying or snacking on unhealthy foods. (i cracked today when i saw a movie popcorn And some nachos! YIKES) well anyway. i hope you find a way to help you. You can friend me if you would like! i

    I plan snacks also. I have a bag of almonds in my backpack and snack on those when necessary. Fruit, cheese sticks--etc. Just search the web for other examples of healthy snacks. You may even come across a recipe for healthy cookies.

    thanks everyone!!!. like cookies are my all time favorite food..i like em soo much my friends gave me the nickname cookie....but im gonna get rid of all the cookies now.....i already got rid of anything bad and replaced em with healthy food fruits and vegetables...the only thing that was left were getting rid of the cookies....but now ill have the strength to give it up!! :) thanks everyone!!

    I'd say leave some cookies. Say if you have a fresh pack of oreos, half them and give the rest to a friend. That way you can portion control the amount you have even more.

    For me, what is making me stay away from going out and stuffing my face is the fact that there is a point when I have to stop because I feel stuffed, or sick. Then not only do I feel sick, physically but I emotionally feel sick because of the guilt and disgust in my lack of discipline. Whatever emotion I was trying to stuff down with food, it's still brewing inside me. I've been remembering this, and it seems to deter me. I'm trying to work through my emotions and stress without food. It is hard, but I keep reminding myself that I don't need the added stress of gaining weight again.
