OK - not as funny if you aren't in my head reliving the memory of one of my male college friends announcing this to the entire marching band at the end of a rehearsal... :laugh:

In all seriousness, now that I have your attention, I need to buy new underwear. However, I'm completely lost as to what to get. As a single, childless woman I purchased quite the stockpile of cotton panties from Victoria's Secret over the years. Well, several years have past, 2 children have been born (making finances tighter) and weight has been lost to the point that said stockpile of panties are dwindling due to the fact that they are both loose and starting to fall apart.

Just looking for suggestions on what brands are worth looking into. I prefer cotton, and will wear bikini or boy short styles. Would like to go to Wal-Mart to buy them (due to my discount since I work there part time) but will go elsewhere if I must.

So please, toss out some suggestions! Cheap, but decent quality please.

    I actually wear Hanes Boyshorts to workout. They are comfy and cheap.

    I would go with this one too, but IF you must Wal-Mart works. Buy a small pack just to see what you think of the cut, size, and brand then go from there.

However, seeing as I like to see women in sexy panties, and don't mind shopping for them for my beautiful wife, I would suggest gilligan o' malley at target or Joe boxer brand, two of my favorites on the way they look on, (and off).

    Do you have a La Senza or La Vie en Rose where you are? If so, that's a great place to go... not too expensive but of better quality. And they usually have all cuts and styles you can try them on first to see if you like them and you can buy individually or like 5 for x amount of dollars.

    IMO Victoria's Secret is overpriced if you're on a budget. I have tons and love them, but when I was broke never spent the money on them. Do you have an Aerie around you? It's the bra and pantie store owned by American Eagle (most AEs sell the stuff in store if there isn't an Aerie around). They do some great specials (5 pair for $20) and have some ADORABLE designs and cuts that are a little bit sexier than the average boyshort and they're super comfy.

    I say give the thongs another chance though... no panty lines, super sexy... it does take a bit to get used to them, but once you do... I've never known anyone to go back! Only time I don't wear thongs is to bed!

    For packaged, I like the Hanes low rise hipsters and off the rack I tend to grab whatever looks cute to me. Lol.

    Looove the boyshorts from Target. They aren't in packages, they are in like little bins at the outer parts of the lingerie area. I think they are $5 each but sometimes go on sale, especially if they are seasonal prints.
