I'm looking for people like me with over 100 lbs to lose. Our journey will be long ahd hard but I think it would be great to have friends who are sharing in the same battle and in the same successes. I know it helps me to hear about others success, that inspires me. I also know the agony and pain of falling off track and I know hearing that little pep talk can open the door for the inspiration to spread back through. Anyone else out there with the same journey a head of them? Come talk to me.

yup, same boat... and face challenges that others that are small do not... like not being able to just go exercise but having to plan your day.. etc0

Hi Patty, the journey will be long but we can do it! I need to lose 120 pounds . . . just the thought of it. I know the pain you are going through sometimes I push myself through pain but then I understand that the reason there is pain is because of the weight I am now. So the long term goal will benefit you and me mentally and physically!0

I have lost 98 pounds and my wife has lost 45. I am saying that if I can do it...you can too. Good luck to you and remember it is not a diet it is a lifestyle change.0

WOW! So many responses! You are all awesome. I think we have some dedicated people here and am glad I've started meeting them. Please share tips and what motivates you, I love reading about empowerment!
I belong to my local Y and have set a goal to work towards becoming a volunteer in the fitness area. That is one of the things that motivate me.

I wish all of you the best. I started in September. I am down 95lbs. I would like to lose 32 more. When I reach that I will probably push myself to lose 5 more. That will be a grand total of anywhere between 127lbs and 132lbs. You have to be dedicated. Find a workout you like. I have a cheap exercise bike that I use 30 min in the morning and evening. I set my net caloric intake for 1300 a day and I usually aim to be under that. For instance today I have taken in 1500 calories through breakfast and lunch but I will not eat any more significant meals today. I will burn usually 700 calories a day. If anything I might have a small snack later. Make sure you have a decent size breakfast and lunch. Skip snacking. However enjoy the weekends to a degree. Have that nice dinner. Have some wine or beer. Have some dessert. Just remember to cut back on breakfast and/or lunch. It is a lifestyle change. You can't expect to lose if you cut loose every weekend. And if you have either an Iphone or Blackberry, download the app. At any restaurant, immediately input what you are ordering. I always tried to overestimate portion size. Also download apps that have the calorie counts at fast food restaurants. It will scare the daylights out of you when you go for the baconater burger with fries. Think of all of the extra exercise you will have to do to burn it off. Don't deprive yourself but that thought once you get into a routine will help you avoid the junk food. Trust me.0

I started off with 112+. I've lost 34, so I still have quite a way to go. I slip up, a lot, and it is such a struggle every day. But we can do this! Seeing other MFP-ers on here who have lost that much and more is so inspiring. I am learning so much every single day. Feel free to add me if you want to!0

I have 200 to lose. I'm almost half way there.0

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many people in the same boat as I am. I've felt very alone and like I was the only one. We can all join forces and do this, for ourselves and for each other. Does any one compete in challenges? Are there challenges already in place for people who have a lot to lose? If not, can we make one ourselves?0

Good Morning. I am up and ready to go today, I just wish I could get on my treadmill and walk but I can't due to doctor's orders. I injured my knee about a month ago in a fall and I bruised my Patella. I have to wear a knee brace, take antil inflammatories, and I have to see an orthopedic doctor. I am just waiting on my doctor to refer me to them. I do use handweights for now though. I have to do something. Anyways, we all can do this. I know we can!!!!!0

Hi everyone1 I'm right there with you guys. It's a long road and I'm sure there will be ups and downs, but we can all do it. I've been tracking my food for a few weeks now, but I need to get moving. I keep putting it off because I know how out of breath I'll be quickly and ugh!0

I missed this post and am not sure anyone is checking this anymore but I have lost almost 25 pounds slowly and have another almost 100 to go - hopefully not so slowly but not too quickly either. I log in here everyday but do not require that in others though I think it works. Hope all are successful and feel free to add me as a friend but add a note to tell me why. I have friends on here but am always willing to add more that have taken on this kind of challenge.0

I have well over 100 to lose and I keep thinking its going to be impossible but after reading a lot of the stories on here I think I might have a chance now. I really hope I can keep the motivation I have now.0

Dropped off for a bit there, but back again. I am using the food and exercise trackers. I've started back exercising and tried a Zumba class last night. I couldn't keep up but I was OK with that. I did what I could and enjoyed it. I am sore today but it's a good sore. I'm tired of not doing stuff because I'm embarassed, how can I lose if I don't exercise? I don't like to do the same things over and over and find myself doing it less and less, so I'm going to try all the things I've always wanted to try.
I have always wanted to learn to box and I found a local gym that has open boxing several times a week for $5. The instructor said Friday nights are slow and he would have time to work with me. I'm so excited!
How is everyone doing? I hope people still check this post, I've been without a computer for ever and am so happy to be back.

Getting startes isn't always easy but once you make the decision and become focused, NOTHING will stop you! It was very daunting thinking about how much weight I had to lose when I started but its been six months now and I am down 72 pounds so far, I still have a ways to go but I know now that I can and will reach my ultimate goals and so can you. come here everyday for inspiration and motivation it really helps to keep you on track. Try to make exercise a priority at least 4 times a week to keep your head in the game. There will be some tough days but it will all be worth it I promise! Good luck!0
