How many calories is this?0
-
no macro mix, no weights. All in all, there's not much to look at.
So, I guess... hey, it's great!0 -
Looks pretty good to me. But dinner looks pretty small. I would maybe add more protein too. I can only see around 50g a day here (I'm guessing because you didn't add portion size). Maybe try a protein shake or replace dinner with a green smoothie.
Just my opinion. If you feel good and energetic eating this, continue eating it.0 -

How many calories is it? If your goal is weight loss and you are weighing out your food, not measuring, and staying in your calorie limit then you're fine. Weight loss is a calorie deficit. As long as you are in one it doesn't matter what you eat.0
-
the daily tracker says that it totals 850 cal
my target is 1200 but I eat like this most days and I feel fine0 -
yeah... good luck with that. If you're legitimately eating that low... well, it won't last for long before you change it, or you get sick.
You have a lot of resources at your fingers with this site, use them and get on something reasonable and coherent.0 -
You'd want to add a bit of healthy fat, like olive oil or colza oil. It's ESSENTIAL for your health. Add a bit of preotein, too. If you take only a teaspoon of oil at lunch and at dinner, as well as adding a bit of protein, you'll be at 1200 kcals, low enough for a good weight loss.
With 1200 kcal/day, I'm loosing 6lbs a month.0 -
1200 is the minimum you should be eating. What are your stats? Have you looked up a BMR and TDEE calculator?0
-
I would agree about adding a bit more of SOMETHING to dinner. Or how about some nuts? They add healthy fats AND protein AND minerals.0

I'm sort of tired of reading this. No one cares if you "feel fine." It's not enough food and you know it. I feel like posts like this are just a "humblebrag." No one's going to pat you on the back for starving yourself.0 -
You going to eat that every day for the rest of your life?0

Totally agree with this.
No-one on this site, with perhaps the exception of those who are pro-ED, are going to give you a round of applause or vote of confidence for eating too little. It is rather underimpressive actually that you do not have any concern for your own body's longterm health.

A serving of oat porridge is considered 1/2 cup or 40g...however when I use the 1/2 cup and then weigh it I can get anything from 40g to 60g.0
-
Definitely add more protein to your day and some healthy fat, maybe some avocado to your lunch sandwich?0
-
Nothing wrong with the food per se, but it doesn't look enough, and it must be a bit boring if that's what you eat every single day.
Maybe add something to dinner, like tuna, and you'd be better off having vegetables rather than salad. Perhaps have the eggs for breakfast, especially as you're having yogurt and blueberries twice, and have a stir fry with chicken or prawns for dinner.0 -

for those saying I don't deserve a pat on the back....do you see me asking for one??
the reason I asked is because I am trying to learn as I am new
thankyou to all those who gave ACTUAL suggestions, much appreciated0 -
Remove the eggs and replace with fruit.
There is so much cholesterol in eggs! That is clogging your arteries and asking for high blood pressure!
My answer to everything is go vegan. You can't go wrong with fresh or frozen fruit and veggies. No oils, refined carbs, agave, and fake foods such as vegan cheese or meats.
80/10/10, raw till 4, you're good to go.0 -

Ehhh. No.
Eat meat, cheese, dairy, chocolate, ice cream, hell... ANYTHING you want as long as it fits your calories of the day.

yes, your answer to everything even when its not relevant, useful or CORRECT. stop ing0 -
I would recommend getting another healthy snack in there. I heard that eating about every three hours boosts metabolism. So, I eat about two healthy snacks a day (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), and it works great for me.0

No. Eggs are one of nature's "perfect" foods. By cutting out eggs, you're getting rid of the benefits of all the nutrients that are IN eggs. Eggs are not bad. Quite the contrary, actually.

FYI... Your metabolism doesn't get "boosted" from anything. Your metabolism runs at it's own pace, depending on your activity level. Meal timing is purely preferential.

If you're doing vegan for anything other than moral reasons, then you're doing it wrong. Also, some oils are some of the healthiest fats you can have. Anything I cook, I cook with olive oil. There is nothing unhealthy about it.0 -

Exactly. I think I peed a little as well. Eggs and oils are not the cause of high blood pressure. Also, trying to force your vegan views on someone else who didn't ask about the vegan lifestyle is seemingly rude. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the vegan lifestyle more about morality than healthy choices? At least that's what 90% of the vegans I know tell me. Fats are not the enemy. Meat isn't the enemy. Cheese isn't the enemy. Eggs and oils certainly aren't the enemy.

There does not look like enough food in calories terms. You need to lose weight in a safe and sustainable way plus whatever diet/food you are on then it needs to meet your needs in terms of nutrition. Is that really all you want to eat for the rest of your life?
You should also consider weigh /resistance training to help tone you up and give you a better shape than dieting alone will. Do that as you are losing weight because you will lessen the muscle loss.MagicalWaifu wrote: »Remove the eggs and replace with fruit.

Absolute rubbish.
From the NHS site
Eggs are a good choice as part of a healthy, balanced diet. As well as being a source of protein, they also contain vitamins and minerals. They can be part of a healthy meal that's quick and easy to make.
....
Eggs and cholesterol
Eggs contain cholesterol, and having high cholesterol levels in our blood increases our risk of heart disease.
However, the amount of saturated fat we eat has more effect on the amount of cholesterol in our blood than eating eggs does.
If your GP or health professional has told you to watch your cholesterol levels, your priority should be to cut down on saturated fat. You can get advice in Eat less saturated fat.
If you are eating a balanced diet, you only need to cut down on eggs if you have been told to do so by your GP or dietitian.0
