How do you get round overpronation on one side only?

I overpronate on my right, quite a lot, I'm presuming due to the bad tib/fib break which had to be pinned, about 20yrs ago. I have a tight/slightly smaller calf on the same side also. Just wondering how anyone else may have overcome a similar problem? Or has the same problem but no issues with it?

One cause is from damage to the tendon that holds up your arch (tibialis posterior tendon). A tight calf could cause overpronation when squatting, but not while standing. Do you overpronate more on the right when standing barefoot?

Thankyou! Yes I do! Walking leaves a normal footprint, but when I relax while standing I go down on my arch. I can walk long distances fine (10 miles+) even if I'm just in a pair of flip flops. Squatting definitely causes me to go down on that arch, when I'm pushing back up. Running also, on the take off and on my bike I notice my ankle isn't staying straight like the other side.0

If it's only on the way up, check if your knee is caving inward. If it is, that's a separate issue. Try pushing your knees out on the way up - is the pronation better?
