I'm wondering what other 5'10" ladies w/ medium-large frames eat to lose, eat to maintain, and what your goal weight/size is?

I lose at 1600 calories per day. My goal weight is 165 (I'm at 175 right now). I don't really have a goal size in mind. It might be nice to wear an 8 and be out of double digits.

I am set at around 1,650-1,700 calories to lose one pound a week. I'm currently 190 and want to get to my first goal, 165. I would really like to get to 152 (the weight I was in college and a few years ago; size 12), but I don't want to sweat that right now. To maintain my current weight I think I'm at 2,200 or so.0

Hi there, I currently weight about 167 pounds, and would like to lose 10-15. I eat between 1300 and 1500 calories per day, but unfortunately I am not losing, but also don't lose when I eat up to 1700... would love to lose a pound a week even! I will get there eventually I hope0

I'm currently 182 (13 stone), started at 196. Maintenance for me I think is around 2200.
Was given 1790 cals to lose 0.5-1lb a week at the beginning and once I'd lost 10lbs it went down to 1720. I tend to take a weekly average rather than stick to the daily target religiously to give me a little more leeway to relax at weekends.
I'd like to lose just over another stone take me to about 165lb. Dress size UK 14 (US10) now, would be a UK 12 (US8) in bottoms at 165, not sure about tops due to the curse of broad shoulders and big ribcage.0 -
The best thing for you to do is workout your BMR & TDEE!!!
You can find lots of calculators online for this - Will really help you!
Im 5 ft 9 and I think 1600-1700 is a good amount of calories a day, I also exercise 4 - 5 times a week.

I've done this but the numbers just never seem "right" so I wanted to see where real people are at... I think I am close to goal, but I'm not sure as I still have lots of toning to do - the standard bmi info isn't geared toward larger frame/muscular builds, so those don't help... figured if I know what "normal" is I can work toward that.

I'm 5'10
Started at 260 - almost 9 months ago
- When I started I was only eating 1600 per day and working out, the weight flew off
- now I'm working out and eating around 2200 per day and the weight is coming off slower but steady, 2-3 pounds a month
- i'm currently at 199, trying to get to 175pds
- size 22 at 260, currently a size 14, want to get into a size 80 -
I'm 5'11 (so.. take that into account) and currently 165. I'm set to lose 1 lb/week, which is net 1,480 calories a day. I eat back almost all of my exercise calories and tend to eat closer to 1600-1700, exercising off the rest. My goal weight is 149/size 8. I will potentially go down to 140 if I decide to then do a bulk phase.0

Wow, I feel like I eat a lot compared to you guys. Fat2FitRadio.com has me at around 2200 for a slow, maybe half pound a week loss but I'm really maintaining for the most part. I'm about 166 and looking to get down to 159, but not really caring too much right now because I'm focusing on strength training and changing my body composition. I'd much rather go down one more pant size to an 8 than worry about the scale.0

Ha, yep!
My maintenance is about 2,600 calories a day. I stick to a weekly goal, though, so I eat more on weekends than weekdays.
I lost 2 pounds a week steadily eating 1700-2100 a day (it always ranged a bit).

I am 5'11" and I am trying to get to 165lbs.
Currently I am at 181 lbs (started at 193)
I am eating at 1540 calories per day - but rarely do I get to it or over it, so I am eating well under usually.
- I do NOT normally exercise
I figure once I can get to 165lbs I will see how things look, and decide if I want to lose more.
EDIT TO ADD: My weight loss is based on 0.5lbs - 1 lbs a week - important to mention!0 -

While I was losing weight I ate between 1500 and 1800 calories a day. I just switched to maintenance on October 1. I'm currently eating 2000 calories a day but it looks like I need to be eating closer to 2200 calories (or more). Right now I'm focusing on strength training as I'd like to look a little more muscular (and less flabby!). I'll reevaluate January 1 to determine if I need/want to cut any more weight.0 -
5 11- goal of net 1200 calories a day. I try to eat back most of my work out calories.
I typically eat gross calories between 1200 and 2200, depending on work out. 2200 is when hiking, 1200 is on a rest day.
My goal is 2 lbs a week and my goals have been approved by my physician.0 -
5' 9.5"
SW: 275 (JAN14)
CW: 219 (OCT14)
IGW: 165 (will see how I feel once I get there, might want to lose another 10 lb)
I started out at 1700 cal, and have cut 50 at a time as I hit plateaus until this morning I just reset MFP to 1550.
(Yesterday my weight doc suggested going to 1300!! I think that's too low.)
To maintain, Harvard Medical School says 15 cal / lb when active 30 min / day.

5'10.
My current weight is 243, but i don't think my size represents that? I wear a 14 in dresses and 16 in jeans. I just feel like i should be a tiny bit bigger with that weight. Not complaining at all though!!
My goal weight is around 160-but that's flexible. I just want to get to a size 8, 6 if it's possible.
for calories I'm at about 1400 for -2 pounds a week. but I've set it at sedentary since I'm a college student who only gets to work out sporadically.

I'm 5'9" and 160ish pounds, largish frame, size 8. I can eat 2000 plus exercise calories to lose a half pound a week. 2300 to maintain (again, I eat exercise calories). My goal is 150.0

I'm 5'10", 214 lbs currently. Started out at 223 or so. My goal weight is 165. I've been aiming for 1200 to 1500 calories a day. I could always use some new friends0

I am 5'10" with more of a smallish medium frame. Previously I lost a lot of weight, down to 148 lbs. That was difficult to maintain at about 1800 calories per day unless I strictly avoided processed sugar other refined carbs. I got tired of being called too skinny, bony, etc and actually looked at pictures of myself and decided to go up to 155 lbs. At that weight, I could maintain eating about 2200 calories per day with an occasional sweet treat or carb like a potato or pasta. I can wear most size 10s anywhere from 148 lbs to the high 160s. I think setting goals on dress sizes is pointless. Every manufacturer sizes differently. from what I've read recently, most manufactures are actually making clothes bigger so women fell better about themselves. So a size 8 today is more like a 10/12 15 years ago. At one point quite a few years ago I was so skinny I fit in to a size 8. When my small nephews asked if I was sick I realized it was time to put a few pounds back on.0

1600-2000 calories, gym 6 days a week (primarily strength training)
I'm 157lbs and 5'10". In the last two months I've only lost 2lbs, but over 7 inches on my body. I'm pretty much at the weight I want to be at, just replacing fat with muscle. Hope this help!
ETA: Oh and I wear a size 4 long or 6 long (usually 4).0
