Grilled chicken wrap in a spinach tortilla. Either that or the chili [sic] or half bbq chicken.

I'd start with cheese sticks and a beer, then have with a house salad with italian dressing.
For my entree I'd dig into some Baby backed Ribs served with baked beans and corn on the cob.
And for desert I'd go with pecan pie...BUT ONLY ONE SLICE!

you think all of that would still clock in under 3k?
Weighted against my calorie burn - yes. It taked me 2 hours to play 3 sets of tennis at 600 calories burned per hour. That's 1200 calories burned total subtracted from my dinner.
    - When I go out, I eat well with no care about calories, but I always follow that up with some intense activity - something I enjoy.
    - Life is to be lived! :D

    Fried mac n cheese balls
    Half bbq chicken

    Southern pecan pie.

I'd pick that because it would be an awesome meal. The sirloin would be my 2nd choice.

can't go wrong with fried mac and cheese...

    1. I'm jealous, I think I would soo love that restaurant. 2. If it were me I would get what I wanted since it's just one day and I could make up for it the rest of the week. I would definitely get the pecan pie and a fried twinkie

But if were attempting to be conscious I would get the Country Style Chicken and Dumpling soup and seasonal vegetables.

Top sirloin (only eat half) with seasonal vegetables and fresh fruit. If you don't get extras on the meat..5oz of it shouldn't be too bad.. And the others are veggies and fruit. You may have to account for some butter if they're not just steamed veggies

Yup, this is what I'd go for as well, and for the same reason.

I might also go for the fried twinkie, though. Just cuz.

Cowboy sirloin steak with french fries and fresh fruit for sides.

The 10 ounce steak prolly has 650 calories, 400 calories for the fries and maybe 150 calories for the fresh fruit. Add 200 calories for ketchup and mayo (cuz that's what I like to dip my fries in)

That's 1400ish calories and I'd still have 11000-1600 calories for my other meals... OR I could skip lunch and add a slice of pecan pie.

In reality with my actual calorie budget, I'dll still get the steak with french fries and fresh fruit.. BUT I'd cut off a three ounce portion of steak to eat and toss the rest in a to go bag along with the majority of the fries. I'd also talk someone at the table into getting the pecan pie for dessert so that I could sneak a bite.

Sirloin with baked potatoes and veggies. 500-600 calories for the steak, 200 for the potatoes (assuming it's a bigger one), 100 for the veggies, perfect for a 2000-2500 calories plan.

I know you'd think that right?!? I am not a huge mac and cheese fan at a lot of restaurants to begin with so maybe that was my problem, but to me the mac and cheese balls were even MORE underwhelming than the fried bologna sandwich! What's up with that?!?

Their fried pickles however IIRC were awesome.

If I have tried the fried twinkie (and seems like I have) I have forgotten it so it must not have been that amazing either, course sweets aren't really my thing either so that wouldn't surprise me.

Would that it were one dinner or one meal I wouldn't need to ponder these things but it won't be. I should have a fridge but not sure the feasibility of taking anything "home" it will depend, but that was a really good point as I think my game plan will be dramatically different if I am not going to get to take any home. I hate throwing yummy food away.

tortilla soup or the chili, minus any sour cream they are trying to put on there. fajitas are probably not too high in calories but the thing to watch here is likely portion size. The chili would probably be enough for me. These kind of restaurants are also salt bombs so drink a lot of water or unsweetened ice tea. The drinks on the menu all look like 500+ calories of sugar so if you want to drink get liquor+seltzer with lemon or something. Although you get free drinks like that at casinos so why pay for it there?

Also, this restaurant seems really expensive for what it is! Vegas has some really great restaurants. I would get sushi, or thai food at Lotus of Siam. This looks like a glorified applebees/fridays/chilis type place where you are paying more because it's branded some famous singer. meh.

Yes the food in Vegas is spectacular! I find even the chain-y type restaurants and the little casino cafes to be very good relative to such places elsewhere.

I agree this place is very similar to a glorified applebees/fridays/chilis. But it's all good, it'll all be comped. And this won't be the only salt bomb but point well taken. Fortunately I usually eat a lot of salt and always drink a lot of water, especially when in the desert.

And YES I definitely will be doing sushi and maybe some thai somewhere on the strip, there's a place in NYNY I love but I think that one was Chinese and Monte Carlo's got a place with sushi I like.

I'd *love* to get to Lotus of Siam! Not been yet. I typically do not have access to a car and always thought it too far to get to, and the bus is a PITA so I prefer to only go where I can walk. But it seems were I really interested I could bus to Stratosphere and walk to Lotus of Siam- any idea if that walk would be safe for a lady walking on her own? (I'll go up and down the strip by myself at all hours so it takes a bit for me to feel unsafe but say, I probably wouldn't walk to Rio or In-N-Out myself and I've only ever ridden by the Stratosphere so I'm not familiar with the area)

ETA: funny thought, this is one trip where being overweight makes me feel more comfortable. Drunk weirdos still bug you but I can't even imagine how annoying it must be to be thin and attractive in Vegas!

If you're looking to stay on the lite side of the menu, the salmon actually sounds good... But if you want to splurge, save some calories earlier in the day and get whatever you want.
