So long story short I've been here before and lost 65 pounds and now I'm back because I gained 55 back. It's really sad when I think about it,but you know what I just need motivation and I would love for you to be my motivator. Thank you

That can be devastating to the mind, but you can come back from it. Get up and try again! Here to motivate and support.0

You can do this! I'm 5'8" as well, and I originally lost over 30lbs. I gained about 8-10lbs back, so I'm trying to get back in the swing of things before I gain anymore.
If you did it before, you can do it again!! You got this, girl!0 -
Unfortunately, we can't motivate you, it's something you have to do for yourself...
But my tip would be to stand in front of a full length mirror in your underwear... Happy? No? Go work out!0 -
The gain-back sucks. It's not uncommon, though. Kudos for getting back to it...I'm in the same boat. I have about 13 pounds back to my lowest previous weight and another 10 on top of that I want to lose. Not awesome, but I'm just sort of chugging along and hoping to accomplish all that soon. It's not a destination, though, the journey continues this time...that's important to remember0

It blows! I just think and wonder why did I do this?!? Life's a *kitten*! Now to move on and start doing right again. Thank you to those with kind words!0

Whats good is that you lost it once and presumably you did it in line with MFP principles. You can do it again. You just need to be smarter this time in having an end game, whilst also avoiding all those mistakes you see all the time to prevent you crashing and burning out. It starts by you making the commitment and that starts with understanding what it is you wnat to do and everything that will entail to do it effectively imo. Prep is really importnat so you can make it long term and sustainable. Knowing why and just how you are going to do it plus having a plan will provide motivation.
I think the motivation has to come from within you because few of us are going to be around in years to come. You know all you need to do is eat at a calorie deficit for 6-18 months depending on how you tackle it. Moving a bit will help as well, but youve already made the journey. Have a plan for when things get tough and an endgame plan for maintenance, which is why people go on about the famous lifestyle change. It might help if you gathered some mfp friends to share part or all of the journey with you.0 -
Look at it this way, you have still kept 10 pounds off overall so it isn't all bad. Please send a friend request and I'll be with you on your journey with great pleasure and I'd love to have you on my journey too.0

You can do it! I'm down 33 pounds this year - more than 1/2 way to my goal. Add me as a friend if you want. Accountability is key!0

Gaining back sucks but since you have lost it once you know you can do it again. Get back after it. You got this.0
