Hello Everyone!
I am a 5 foot 4in female and weigh 165 pounds. I am trying to get down to 149 by Dec 13 (vacation). I also want to permanently maintain that weight loss. I have decided to eat no more than 1000 calories per day forever. I do some yoga. Am i doing this right? I mean its calories in/calories out that matters right? My food diary tells me that i should reach my weight goal by that date. I love candy and carbs and eat that throughout the day but still remain under my calorie limit. I make sure to get veggies in too. It says that i am over on carbs but within calories. I will still lose weight right?
Thank you!!!

Why not?
Because you want to do this in a healthy, sustainable way. Eating that few calories is not going to allow you to meet all of your nutritional requirements.0 -

You lose weight eating below your TDEE.
Your BMR is the calories you need for your body to function if you did nothing all day.
I'm around your height and lose weight eating on average 1920 calories per day. I'm also only about 8lbs heavier than you currently.
Also, you risk not getting all your micronutrients/macronutrients that your body needs when you eat less than 1200 calories per day. Which leads to malnutrition. Malnutrition has a lot of nasty side effects (hair loss, osteoporosis, kidney failure...just to name a few).
