Standing Still

Hey Everyone,
I could really use some help.
Last year i lost 10kg. Over Xmas,NYE and generally the winter i was so busy with work and other social commitments i slowed down on the workouts and healthy food. I was still skiing a few times a week untill i injured my knee in February and had to have a few weeks off everything. since march i was back at the gym at least 3 times a week and skiing once a week and now back up to my 5 to 6 days a week at the gym. Ive been on MFP for 2 weeks and tracking everything i eat, staying at or just under my net goal most days. Ive upped the water intake and having at least 2L a day.
My weight is STILL standing still though.
i change my work outs each day and have lowered my heart rate to the "fat burning zone" and still not a budge in weight loss
Im getting so frustrated and would really appreciate any advice suggestions on what else i can do.
Thanks in advance

I know socially it's always a big no-no to ask a woman this question, but if I may what is your weight and height?
The reason I ask is in your profile picture you look VERY healthy and 10 kg is a really significant loss (lol thank goodness for my unit converter widget on my Mac, even after 3 yrs in high school and 3 semesters of physics courses I still can't get my stubborn American brain to properly estimate the equivalent).
Anywho, what you might be experiencing is that with your current diet and exercise your body is approaching a plateau despite your hard work. Granted skiing is great because it's aerobic and anaerobic, what I see a lot of times is that girls tend focus really heavily on cardio at the gym and don't balance that as often with weight training since there goal is the "lean" look. The downside is that eventually your body adapts to all your hard cardio work and slides into maintenance mode. If you want to lose more pounds (erm I mean kg) you'll want to look at increasing muscle tone all over which will bump up your metabolism and kick start more weight loss.
Keep up the great work though! Your workout schedule is kickin mine in the butt right now and you've clearly made some amazing changes already!0 -

Oh I hear you so so much. I am 28, 5'10'' and 160lb. I have lost a good 20lb from my face, arms, waist, boobs and even before I looked healthy up top - my weight is just in my thighs, hips and butt. I get that is just my body type, and I will have to deal with that a bit, but what I find is really helping actually get the pear look to bugger off - is swimming. In two months I have dropped a stubborn two inches from my hips and 1in from each of my thighs. I have never had results so quickly doing anything else.
Just a tip that is working for me.
Hope that helps.0 -

I just did a quick check on a BMI calculator and your BMI would be 23.3 which is in the healthy weight range.
Try having a day off your diet and use that time to satisfy your cravings. What this will do is raise a hormone in your body called Leptin which has a direct relationship with your metabolism and which is part of the cause of plataus and a halt in weight loss. Anyway, if you have this cheat day (for one day only ) you may find that your body will be back to fat losing prime and you will begin to lose weight again. It is important to know that with this only works if on your cheat day you don't count calories or track what you eat. You should feel free to enjoy the day. But make sure you don't gorge yourself either.
I have personally used a program before called Cheat your way thin. It works and it promotes calorie restriction and using a cheat day once per week.
You should only do a cheat day once a week though if you are going to implement this strategy.
Hope that helps.0
