Fruit's sugar content... BAD???

Hey everyone!~!

I just logged in a mango, a whole fresh mango. It is over 200 calories and its sugar is 48, and all MFP says I can have is 28. Is the amount of sugar in whole fruits bad??? Should I be watching my fruit intake like I watch other sugars???

In my opinion, fresh fruits are not bad sugars. Like everything, you need to eat them in moderation. I would limit my servings to one or two a day. There is no way a fresh apple or other fresh fruits are BAD for you, but you may really overdo the sugars if you don't eat them in moderation.

From what I have read, the sugars mentioned don't really count fruit sugars per say. Because the FDA doesn't require labels to distinguish between processed sugar and natural sugar, MFP can't either. Fruit sugars aren't bad in moderation, but I would assume even they could be bad if you ate say 20 mangoes in a day. :-)
