Recipe help -> tea + fruits.

A few months ago I tried strawberry tea from Wendy’s and I’m hooked. The problems is that I’m as cheap as they come and don’t feel like spending $3 bucks a few times a week. I like tea and usually just have anise or chamomile with honey but never tried anything different with it. Does anyone have recipes and directions that mix tea with fruit? I was thinking about brewing the tea then blending it with strawberries but the one from Wendy’s is so smooth, you can see the seeds but no fruit pulp. Much appreciated.

I made a drink once which consisted of pink grapefruit juice and strawberries. I ran the berries in the blender with the juice, and it turned out very smooth...no noticable seeds/pulp. Based on the way that drink turned out, I'd say just whirr some berries with your tea in the blender.

According to this web site, you can just mash the berries with a fork and add them in. I suppose it depends on the texture you want. To me, that seems it would make a chunky beverage. http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/make-fruitflavored-iced-green-tea-drinks-10299.html

Thanks, I'm gonna try the blender tomorrow. My husband bought a Ninja blender that is suppose to be very good so we'll see how it turns out.

All I recommend is experimenting with your fave tea, fruit and your blender.

Thanks, I had seen that recipe too but I was wondering if someone had already done it to see if it compares to the one from Wendy's. I guess I'm being lazy lol
