Hello!

Need an honest answer.

I'm 5'3 1/2 (closer to 5'4),130-133 pounds, 34 inch bust, 26 inch waist, 38 inch hip (that's lowest hip), and 22 inch thighs. Is this think or thick? Help!

Well, personally, hard for me to say. What's your bodyfat percentage?
  • My bmi is under 24. Not sure of my body far percentage. I do have more muscle than flab as I lift weights.

It sounds good to me. Not overweight, I believe the size is average, and you have muscle. I would say fit.

Well I'm 5'2", 146 with a 32" chest, 27" waist and 39" hips and my thighs are about 24" - I was described as thick! After clarifying this with the person who felt the next descriptive would athletic I could accept thick. Part of their explanation included the fact that I still have curves and a shape so thick is not so bad :D

Your measurements appear that you do have some curves - while thin is not the same as skinny for me it does not imply any curves to me, so even if you intend to be thin I would think that would mean losing a little of your curves.

Or thin, whichever you want to go with.

Why does it matter what strangers on the internet think?

Are you concerned that you are not?
  • Slim thick.
  • Measure the thighs and waist....if they reduce some, but not a lot, you are probably close to fat. Do calculate with the online machinery your body fat ratio...most of us in USA do not have the best ratios.....so it doesn't hurt, in maintaining a good weight, to keep an eye on the other factors, too. Does the doctor think it would hurt to drop your BMI a couple points?
  • Actually no. Doctors think I'm healthy. I'm also not fat. That I know. I asked thick or thin.

I must be way off then. The BMI she gave puts her at an ok range and the 26in waist on 5'3" still has a good ratio. But yeah, it's hard to tell without an actually bodyfat %.

I'm honestly asking to see what other people think of those measurements. I'm curvy- but I know I'm not fat. I wear a size 6 in pants. Small and extra small shirts, coats, Etc.

Non offense, but terrible advice. A 26 inch waist you think is FAT? Bless your heart and uneducated opinion.

sorry, I know you didn't want any more replies, but I did want to say congratulations to you. What you didn't say in your original post is that you've lost 26 lbs. That is an amazing achievement and you should be proud. In light of that - I say thin xx

I think the perception is in the eye of the beholder. What one person thinks as thick, another would think as thin and vice versa.

  • Why does it matter what strangers on the internet think?

    good question!
  • BMI isn't really ideal tech but goin by your b.f 19% and the fact you lift weights.

You got more of athletic type bod. So thick, yet fit
