Abs are made in the kitchen. It's a good idea to work your abs, but your ab definition is going to come from losing the layer of fat that covers them through a calorie deficit.

keep eating in a calorie deficit, and take up some kind of heavy lifting program ….and yes, abs are made in the kitchen too ..

once caveat, I would not recommend spending like 30 minutes a day on your core/abs…one 30 t0 45 minute session a week combined with a lifting program should do the trick…

Do what you want. If you want a better stomach, lose more weight. If not-don't.

Abs are made in the gym, but revealed in the kitchen. Everyone has abs, if they are really small you will have to get really low in body fat to show them. If you grow the abs they will show at a higher body fat.

You need to eat at a deficit. Burning calories through exercise can help you create a larger deficit.

How about some natural appetite suppressants? Include more soluble fiber/resistant starch in your diet....these foods take longer to digest (and resistant starch is totally indigestible), resulting in less hunger. Some examples of foods with soluble fiber are oats (I cook up one cup oats and add a little brown sugar in the mornings and it's delicious), apples, nuts (but measure these out- they're extremely healthy but very energy-dense and thus high in calories), beans, carrots, etc. Resistant starch has many health benefits including lowering blood glucose levels, helping with weight loss, and it's beneficial to your gut bacteria. Examples include legumes, seeds, grains, and potatoes that are cooked and then cooled. So try adding some of these foods and see how you feel :)

She didn't mention a single thing about her diet or her appetite.

As an 18 year old male, if you can see those abs, you've probably already lost enough weight. Hit the gym more and grow those abs.

Do what you want to do. If you don't care about having chiseled abs, don't worry about it. If you want them, keep dieting and lifting.

I think that some people just never get those super-defined abs, though, so don't kill (or starve) yourself trying. Just be as healthy as you can. Very few women care about it. :)
