    I live in Montana and when people ask me where I would live if I could live anywhere, I say, "Montana." :)

    However, I would consider Alaska for a stint.

    I'm in Canada .. so, anywhere warm all year 'round sounds good to me!!

    I really like the Lincoln-Omaha area, but it's much further North from where I live now and tbh I do NOT want any worse winters.

    Maybe southern Utah or New Mexico.

    Having been raised in the military, we lived on all coasts of the US during my childhood, and every one of them had great things.

    I currently live in Salt Lake City, where we have 100 degree days in the summer and the best snow on earth in the winter. In the Spring I can golf and snow ski by driving 30 minutes. We have all the seasons. Not that it is Utopia, but I do enjoy it.

    My goal for retirement - should the day ever come! Is to buy a motorhome and put my Motorcycle in a trailer and tour the entire US over the course of a few years. There are so many places and cultures that I want to take in, I couldn't see myself in one place.

    If you held a gun to my head and made me choose one destination, where money wasn't a factor I would probably choose somewhere along the coast in Southern Ca. just for the weather. But that would mean everyone else would have to move, because I love a small town.

    I recently moved to coastal Carolina. Big difference from the horrible NY and NEPA winters, and the horrible DMV humidity. I don't like being so close to the beach and the threats of tropical storms though lol. Been all over the east coast. I really wanna see Cali, Texas, and Washington. Not to live, just to visit :)

    I agree Louisiana is the best. I'm from New Orleans and have had several opportunities to leave but I can't. There is no place in this country that I know of as unique and interesting then right here. I love it here but Italy would be nice. Ireland too.

    Hawaii, but I do love where I live. As long as I have access to a warm beach I'm good, I've lived in many places but Mother Ocean always calls me back.

    I moved to my chosen place about a year and a half ago. Colorado Springs. I've previously lived in Minnesota and Florida too.

    The problem with that is there are no jobs in NZ. My SO is from NZ and all the Kiwis are leaving for Australia for work and better salaries. He came here (the US) for a job. He looks occasionally for work back home but there's nothing. :(

    I'm Portland, Oregon born and raised. This state is absolutely gorgeous. We have mountains, ocean beaches, deserts, and beautiful green valleys. But, I wouldn't mind living somewhere different (warmer and dryer) during the months of Jan thru March. Perhaps California or Arizona. I'd love to visit some areas of Texas-along the Gulf of Mexico, like Corpus Christi or Galveston.

    Somewhere it doesn't snow. I can deal with the cold but I just hate driving in the snow.

    I lived in TN into my 20's and I longed to live somewhere with sandy beaches and palm trees. In my 30's...wish grated! I moved to Florida. Been here for almost 13 years. Now I long to live somewhere with snow-capped mountains and cool weather. I do believe we just want a change of scenery sometimes.

    I actually recognized someone else from their profile pic here and ended up jokingly stalking him at work (he didn't know what I looked like at the time and now my profile pic is more easily identified). :laugh: I was supposed to reveal myself in a witty manner but can't think of one so I've flaked. (Sorry Justin, haven't shopped during the day for a while!) Maybe he'll catch me squeezin' on the melons or something...

    I like this question. Since I've gotten older and begun to travel more, I often fall in love with cities. In my mind, it would be perfect to give them each two or three years and move on to the next. Not terribly realistic, but my gypsy soul does wander.

    I've lived in Colorado, Montana, Ohio, and now California. I love the sunshine, but I could honestly say that I wouldn't be opposed to moving to the Carolinas, or even Tennessee . The area is beautiful, and the people are so much nicer. That or Flagstaff, AZ. Beautiful <3
