I am cooking dinner for my family of 4 2morrow night. They do not eat a thing like me (healthy food hardly ever touches their fork) but ever since I started my diet and started cooking my own meals they have told me how good it smells. Now they want me to cook a full healthy dinner for them. I will take any suggestions that you guys think people who arent used to eating healthy would like!
Thanks everyone

Try making making more traditional recipes but with healthy tweaks and changes like mashed potatoes (skin on for nutrients!) and using fat free sour cream or plain yoghurt and skim milk instead of butter and cream. I would find their favorite recipes and just modify the ingredients so that they are healthier. If you are looking to do something different, do a google search and look up good grilling recipes like for grilled chicken breasts to put on top of a salad. Or kebabs. Mmm kebabs (or is it too cold for that)? lol just throwing some ideas out there. allrecipes.com also has some good ones. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!!0

I made this today, not knowing my son's (9 year old) very picky friend would be eating with us. I have never seen him eat anything unprocessed.
I just threw some chicken breasts in the crock pot with enough chicken broth to cover and a spoonful of minced garlic. I cooked it all day at low heat. By dinner time it was fork tender. I made some brown rice (you could use white to ease them into healthy) and substituted some of the broth from the crockpot for half the water in the rice. Then I made some grilled veggies on the George Forman Grill.
I offered to make the boys a frozen pizza, but when they tasted the chicken they said they would rather have it. For the boys I shredded the chicken (drain it first) , added some BBQ sauce and put it on buns. For my husband and I, I just served the chicken with the rice and veggies.
It may not be fancy, but it was surprisingly good and simple.0 -
