Hi this is a weird topic but I'm really curious. Do you maintain weight the week before your period. Its been two weeks and my weight hasn't moved and my period is next week so could that be why?

Possibly. Water makes up such a large component of your weight that anything that affects water retention will affect your weight. So:
    - how much sodium you ate the last few days
    - how much water you drank the last few days (or didn't)
    - whether you worked out recently
    - time of your cycle

...can all mess with water retention and therefore your weight.

The other thing that happens to me is my cycle seriously messes with my appetite and I eat more right beforehand. Obviously increasing calories in will mess with weight loss too!

The amount of possible water weight variation on a daily basis is so great that it's hard to say what would be the most "accurate" weight, short of a DEXA scan.

Personally, I weigh myself daily in the morning right when I wake up. Then I put it into a website that tracks the average for me. That's about as close as you can get. (plus, seeing all the little swings up and down in the actual weight measurements helps remind me that it really is just a number, and not necessarily the most important one at that. )
