All other bands might have one or two decent songs on an album - but RAMONES had great song after great song.

They influenced a whole generation of music and most importantly played music for the kids!

Not particularly, just a generalized statement. I could go on about David Gilmour's incredible guitar playing all day. About how deeply affected Roger Waters was by Sid Barret's LSD induced insanity, and how that in turn was the reason behind the depressing music. But the fact is the band was cutting edge with each album released. They had tons of hits and countless fans. All this, before The Wall was even released. They are rock stars, through and through.
To imply that they weren't great musicians is disrespectful.

I am also a big fan of the Ramones, for the record.

The only minor disagreement I have with this relates to The Division Bell album. That album was a huge disappointment.

I've got the same issue with Zeppelin as you do with Floyd. I could go the rest of my life without hearing one single note of one of their whiny, overrated songs and that still wouldn't be long enough. Complete garbage to my ears.

Impossible to narrow down it was the best decade ever! My favourite was glam rock, anything by Bowie, T Rex, but also a variety of the others - Elvis, Melanie, David Soul (yes I admit it!), Carpenters, Dr Hook, Stylistics, Boney M, The New Seekers...and am sure the Brits among us could not forget Bennie Hill and Ernie...who drove the fastest milk car in the west

OMG! For real! Seriously! FINALLY another human being that gets it! It's like torture listening to damn Robert Page whine non-stop! Honest to God. The man gets on my everlasting last nerve! There are about three Zeppelin songs that I would say I like/tolerate. Other than that, I would seriously be brought to tears if I were forced to listen to that *kitten*. The actual *music* is fine, it's Robert Page's whiny *kitten* voice. I can't handle it. Give me Pink Floyd ANY DAY.
