I researched coconut oil online and many docters recommend it to people trying to loss weight and "slim down". I am going to buy this product, but first I wanted to know has it worked for you? If it has or if you have any comments please post below.

I don't use it as a weight loss product, but I do use it to make eggs in my cast iron fry pan. I love it. Make sure to only buy virgin or xtra virgin. I have been using the Jarrow brand. I found it online at iherb.com

I didn't buy it for 'fat loss' reasons, but it has a higher smoking temperature than, say, olive oil.
I am a simple person that does not like to have a million little appliances for different things, so even though air popping is healthier,
I cook popcorn on the stovetop. The Coconut Oil adds a nice amount of flavor and 'smokes' at a higher temperature than olive oil.

I don't know about the slimming claims, and I apologize for not having the links handy, but I believe that there are some health benefits attributed to the Lauric Acid in Coconut Oil. Be aware that the studies that show that the saturated fat in Coconut Oil may be beneficial do not apply to hydrogenated coconut oil - I believe the health claims correlated to virgin coconut oil.

Health stores usually have it where I live.

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is by far the healthiest oil for you. Contrary to popular belief, saturated fats (coconut oil) are most recognized and utilized by the human body as energy. Coconut oil contains medium chain fatty acids which can very easily be converted to energy.

I love coconut oil for cooking up all of my foods.

One thing to keep in mind is that you want to get a higher quality product because coconut oil can turn rancid.

I have definitely seen success in weight loss, but I don't know if coconut oil has played a role in my transformation.

I buy mine from Henrys but i believe trader joe's and other stores sell it (i'm sure amazon does also). It a hard consistency and i have to scoop mine out with a spoon like ice cream. but i like it, when i make wheat pancakes they comes out soo fluffy!

Coconut oil does not turn rancid like vegetable oils because it is saturated and solid in its natural form and it is unrefined. The refined coconut oil will turn rancid because it is well, refined.

You CAN get coconut oil at the regular grocery store, I bought some at Smiths last week. It was by all the other oils. If your store has a health food section, you can find the organic versions there as well. I got a quart size for $7.00.

Coconut oil is also very good for the skin especially applying it topically. It is very healthy for people but I don't believe in using any "weight loss" product. It is best in my opinion to stick with good ole fashioned healthy eating and exercise!! :)

I've been using it as a skin moisturizer for a few months and LOVE it. I have actually noticed it took the 'pink/red' out of some stretch marks as well as making my heels silky smooth. It's also awesome for popping popcorn. :)
