Is it bad to exceed by far calcium and vitamins?

So I started eating Clif bars as a treat and desert and eat 2 a day but one bar has 250mg of calcium, 250mg phosphore and 250 RE Vitamin A. That is alot, times 2 , makes it even bigger. So is it something to be concerned?

Recommended daily intake for your sex and age: 1,100 units calcium, 1,055 units phosphorus, and 900 units vitamin A. I'm not really sure what you're worried about?
In general, it's very tough to eat enough vitamins and minerals in actual food to cause you a problem. People only run into a problem when they take way too many supplements, and then, yes, it can be very bad.0 -
Too much calcium is bad for you. It is unlikely that you will eat enough of it to get to a dangerous level.0

The odds of eating enough vitamins and minerals in your food to cause problems is pretty slim. That is usually only a risk if vitamin pills are involved. That said, I do know of a guy who turned sorta yellow from eating too many carrots but he was going way overboard on them, I mean WAAAAY overboard. What you're eating isn't a problem.0

Hmm little update. I read it incorretly. With 2 bars, MyFitnessPals only tells me I'm exceding Vitamin C by 88%, not to bad.0 -

It is unlikely that you will eat enough carrots to cause a problem. You'd notice yourself turning orange and would quit.
Carrots are a veggie that babies like. Many spit the peas and green beans out and almost ALL babies spit out the canned baby meats (which, if you tasted them, you'd understand. I spit it out, too.). So, good moms who want their babies to get their veggies (and be fed instead of spitting out the food) tend to give their babies extra carrots. Some babies start turning orange. Mom calls the doc, takes the baby in and the doc says, "Cut back on the carrots and your baby won't be orange anymore" and all is well in the world.
I honestly don't even know the word for too much Vitamin C. I'm sure there is one, but if I ever learned it, I forgot it, I've never met anyone who had been diagnosed with that, lol. It's really not a very big issue. Neither is Vitamin A overload.
Don't worry about your vitamins unless the doctor or dietician tell you to worry about the vitamins.

I knew a girl in high school who turned orange from eating too many carrots. True story. She was on a "health" kick and thought that if she only ate carrots she would negate the effects of cigarette smoking.0
