My Harris Teether sells it. It was on sale, so decided to give it a try, glad I did. It is a lot nicer than the other steel cuts, also not as cheap as others0

I've cooked steel-cut oats and find I prefer the old-fashioned rolled oats better. The steel-cut ones come out too sticky.
My morning porridge is a combination of oatmeal and either chia or hemp seed. Sometimes cooked in water and other times milk, sometimes with an egg added, other times with a bit of peanut butter 9when chia or hemp is not used) and some fruit. Always with cinnamon. I find the added fat from either the egg, milk, or peanut butte/seeds helps the staying full time. If I eat it plain then I'm hungry before 2 hours is up.
As for water, my 16 ounces goes down before I eat the breakfast porridge. I enjoy tea or coffee with the meal.0 -
