I have to vent about "That friend" who wants to work out with you...
I am not a fan of working out with people because I like to do my own thing & I hate to be slowed down. But, if someone wants to work out with me I will never tell them no because if I can help someone into a healthy lifestyle change then I'm all for that & l'll support them 100%. I'm not a trainer by any means, but I am happy to share what I do know. However I have this certain friend who joined my gym & keeps saying they want to work out with me. So I told them that's fine. I'm at the gym by 7am every morning, be there & I'll help you along. They came twice, were late both times & kept making promises to come other times but never showed up. They whined & complained that 7am was too early for them, hey if you want to work out with me you are on my time. I'm doing you a favor, so don't ask me to change my schedule around. So now this friend who hasn't been to the gym in weeks even though they tell me a few times a week that they are coming & never show up. Asks me to go to the gym later in the morning since I work a late shift today & it won't interfere with my work schedule. I agreed to do so & told them to call me when they are on the way to the gym. So we were supposed to meet at 9am & where are they? No call, no show. But I changed my workout schedule to accommodate you?! And you don't show up or even let me know you aren't coming? That's really messed up & I'm really pissed off. I have no patience for people like this. It makes no difference to me if you go to the gym or not, I will be there working on myself regardless. But don't ask me to do you a favor & inconvenience myself to do it & then not even come. I'm done, she's on her own now.

oh yeah, you gotta love "that person" I'm with you, when I'm at the gym I'm doing my thing and in my own world. If you want to upset the way that I do things, it better be on my terms....0

Exactly! I don't know how people in any situation ask for a favor but on their terms lol!

Yeah.... there was the person who wanted to "work out" with me and then her idea of a workout was walking slowly for 15 minutes and then she wanted to get ice cream afterwards. NOPE not tolerating that again. The only person I work out with is my husband. We have some yogurt, go to the gym, do our cardio and our machines (about an hour to an hour 15 minutes in total), go home, shower, and have dinner. He can keep up with me no problem and is also a good spotter. But a lot of people I know have no idea what a workout entails and I don't want to waste my time and be frustrated while they faff about burning like 5 calories.0

Yes he is the only one who I have an amazing workout with. He was into it way before me & he has taught me so much. He has a crazy work schedule though, so we rarely get to work out together
