having a hard time with nutritional ratios !

hey everyone - !
I recently changed my nutritional ratios to:.
50% carbs
15% fats
35% proteins
I am having a REALLY hard time getting all my proteins in. I am well under 100+ grams of protein per day
(even with protein bars and protein milk)
and i am also having a really hard time keeping things down to 15% fats.
I am eating 2 oz of almonds right now and that is 26 grams of fat right there! but they are healthy fats, right??
question #1:
should I reevaluate my nutritional ratios?
question #2:
how in the world do people get enough proteins in their diets?!
and how in the world do people stay under 15% fats!?!
THANKS! and hope everyone has a great week!

I have the opposite problem I always go over my proteins and am usually under fat. Eat lean meats like grilled chicken and turkey they are full of protein and lean on fat.0

Bump...I have always been confused about macronutrient ratios...to me, a calorie is a calorie, so I only REALLY stress about my net cals. But I would love to know about which proportions are best for fat loss.0

Your ratios look pretty good. If anything, i'd maybe increase the fat to 20 or 25 (and reduce the carbs).
To hit your protein goal, plan ahead in the next day's food diary and see what works out. Lots of people use protein supplements such as whey protein powder. It's a quick & easy way to increase protein intake.0 -
do 20-25% fat and try it is mostly healthy
lower carbs to 45%-50%
and lower protein to 30%0 -
Thanks guys!
I think i am going to decrease carbs and up fats - makes more sense for me.
and i do need to eat more chicken. (I don't eat red meats...) but I am just a horrible cook!!!
and also thinking about trying whey powder...0 -

I never have problems with protein. I eat an (almost) egg every day and greek yogurt is great for protein. Beans are great to add to a salad (black or garbanzo) or a veggie dish. Cottage cheese has more protein than other cheeses. Turkey burgers are good too. Easy to heat up. Hope this helps10

goodness!! YES that helps A LOT!!!
i usually eat eggs regularly but havent lately - got some yesterday though!
cottage cheese - delicious! only thing is I can't find smaller containers - it's just me and i can't eat all that by the time it goes bad! So i tend not to get it often
and i will have to try beans in my salads! GREAT0 -
hmmmm my vegetarian sources of protein include: eggs, nuts, sunflower seeds, soy/almond milk, oatmeal, oatbran, greek yogurt, whole grain bread, kashi go lean high protein and high fiber cereal (love this, but to some it may taste like cardboard, and it kind of looks like cat food, but i really love it)0
