I have disorders that I was put on meds for 7 and a half yrs ago. I was 11 stone when I was put on the meds but within 18 months of being on them I had ballooned to 16 stone 12lbs. I hated it. I tried other diets and exercise but could only shift 11lbs. I spent 7 yrs being fat and miserable. last October the 30th I started on here after a friend recommended it. my starting weight on here was 16 stone 1lbs. I am now 11 stone 7lbs. I have M.E so I cannot exercise much and rely on my diet 90% for my weight loss. I have gone down 5 dress sizes, 4 of them since I started on here. I am now 1 size and 7lbs off my target. I am incredibly proud of myself and only wish I had heard of MFP when I was first put on the meds so that I didn't have to live being so unhappy with my weight for so long. when I was bigger I had panic and anxiety attacks every time I left the house, I got laughed at and called a fat *kitten*.

Great job! Love your hair. I added colored highlights this year, myself.
I always suggest this - you could probably do aqua exercise with your disability. If it's available, it's worth looking into. I'm just recovering from a broken leg and had researched aqua physical therapy, which is covered by my insurance, but my orthopedist said I didn't need pt.0 -
Amazing job! Now go and by yourself some smaller clothes. You're swimming in them in that last pic0

thankyou all for your lovely comments. last night I tried on a basque top that used to be too small almost (the laces only just did up over the modesty panel at the back), it is now so big I cannot wear it!! my husband did the laces as tight as they would go but it was still hanging off me, he could fit his arm down the back!!!!! so it has gone in the pile of clothes that are too big to go in the attic along with the 3 bin bags already up there!!! I have gone from a size 24 at my very biggest to a 16!!! I had to buy new jeans and a few new tops at the weekend. i'm keeping the bigger clothes in case I ever have to have my meds increased and put any weight back on but I am determined for that not to happen. I will be on here for life to maintain my weight so i'm hoping that even if I do have to be put on more meds I will not put anymore on. my husband and son love my new found confidence. I was hoping the weight loss would help my m.e symptoms and my energy levels but it hasn't.0

hello, any exercise or excursion i do tires me out very easily and kills me for days afterwards so i'm very limited on what I can do in general. i'm lucky if I can do a bit of housework each day. i'm not able to walk my dog and my husband has to do that. i'm waiting on a referral to a specialist m.e clinic but in the meantime the only thing I can do is pace myself, listen to my body and try not to make myself any worse. I love being active and exercising though so i'm hoping to go swimming if I recover from m.e. xx0 -
this was taken in January this yr, not when I was at my heaviest but I was 4 stone heavier in this pic. I fitted into the basque perfectly, the laces touched at the back. I had already lost a stone and a half in this photo0 -
