So scientifically, when does the fat come off?

I need a science nerd up in here! When it hits 11:59pm and i just completed my day at a 1000 calorie deficit, did that 1000 calories worth of weight already come off by the end of the day? Or is there a delayed response and that 1000 calories comes off gradually over the next day or two? Would be great if my body was in sync with the time on my iphone

    Fat loss is water weight.

    Plus carbon dioxide.

it is a fact that over thinking specifics causes significant psychosis. Usually peaking at 11:59 p.m. unless you have passed out from drinking 1000 calories of Jim Beam.

Technically you don't "lose" anything except for the water I believe. I read somewhere that it is all just fat cells that expand when you gain weight, and shrink when you lose weight. That's why when some people get liposuction they no longer gain weight in those specific areas, because it is sucking out the fat cells, therefore they are not there to expand when you gain.

A lot of so called experts I've read articles from say it happens during sleep. So get that 8 hours and let your body work and process those hormones.

It comes off at midnight exactly. If you happen to fly over the international date line whilst in deficit, you've wasted that day.

When does the fuel pump in your car suck up the gas? When it needs it.

Well, if the clocks go forward, you lose a bit less on that day, and a bit more the following day. And vice versa for when they go back. Obviously.

The end products of fat metabolization are water and carbon dioxide. When you lose the water and C02, you've lost the fat weight.

Saskatchewan doesn't do daylight savings. Poor Saskatchewanians.

from what I hear the weight loss fairy comes between 12am and 4am and verifies your deficit and then confirms your weight loss....
