A broken candy cane only has half the calories of an unbroken one. Santa makes it so. If he doesn't bestow this lower calorie incentive the world would be full of lonely, unloved and uneaten broken candy canes. True, yes?

    Oh, you didn't mention the flavored kind!!! I love the fruit kind, just hate peppermint.

    Agreed. Such a huge disappointment when they turn out to be peppermint instead of cherry because they can look identical. The peppermint ones should come with warning labels IMHO.
