HARD BOILED EGGS

Wondering why hard boiled eggs don't register as having any protein in them when entered.
It only comes up as fat.

    The entry is wrong. I just enter hard boiled eggs as a raw egg, since I don't add anything to the eggs when I make them.

    I just use the same entry I use for eggs for scrambled, fried, hard boiled, soft boiled, whatever, then just add whatever else I may have added to them to achieve the above states. Way easier.

    when i put in one egg it says "This food is high in cholesterol, when I put in 2 eggs it says this food is high in protein" cracks me up. I guess it's healthier to eat 2 then.

    Cholesterol from animal products is not bad for you.

    I am going to stick with my statement as it is more factual. High cholesterol is very bad for you. Chances are it wasn't because of cholesterol that you ingested though.

    Chloesterol is an anti-inflammatory, produced by your body, to deal with something ELSE that's bad for you. Blaming the cholesterol as "bad", doesn't address the actual source of the problem. Taking a statin or something like that, and forcibly lowering your cholesterol, does nothing to abate the inflammation in your system. High cholesterol is an indicator of a problem... its not THE problem.

    I also just use egg because whether I boiled them or scramble them I don't add any oils or ingredients. I simply cook it.

    Chloesterol is an anti-inflammatory, produced by your body, to deal with something ELSE that's bad for you. Blaming the cholesterol as "bad", doesn't address the actual source of the problem. Taking a statin or something like that, and forcibly lowering your cholesterol, does nothing to abate the inflammation in your system. High cholesterol is an indicator of a problem... its not THE problem.

    High cholesterol can cause build up in arteries. If this build up breaks apart it can cause either stroke or heart attack. I am 100% correct in saying that high cholesterol is bad for you. It may not actually cause anything to happen, but there is always that possibility.

    That's like saying "bleeding is bad for you". Bleeding washes wounds and carries germ fighters to a wound. Cuts are what's bad for you.

    I would call it more like 25% correct. I take that back because it would depend on how much of it was of the small particle type.

    Pretty sure most medical journals disagree with you on high cholesterol. But hey what do they know, they are just a collection of studies done by scientists with PhD's. Morons the lot of them.

    You do realize that the way you google something creates certain results right? Google high cholesterol leads to higher risk of heart disease and post your results then.

    If you really want to get to the nitty gritty, high levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) can be the cause of some serious problems.

    I particularly liked the part where they say the problem is plaque, the cause LDL, the remedy HDL and they actually said HDL to the rescue...

    Reminds me of this quote " Faced with the choice between changing one's mind and proving that there is no need to do so, almost everyone gets busy on the proof."

    There are several HBE choices...chooses a more accurate one. If I find a food in the data base that is obviously wrong, I look for something that is correct. Love the egg/cholesterol debate btw.
