I'm learning to drive again so hopefully by spring I can drive myself to the pool0

If you are going to the pool once you can drive, look to see if they offer aqua fit classes.
You will get a decent cardio workout, make your body more flexible, and do a little water resistance training to help your muscles, all without having to do high impact. That you can do when you are more used to moving.
( I know I tend to recommend aqua fit a lot, but it is so good for anyone starting to exercise as they are so gentle on the body.)
