Over Eating

I told myself I wouldn't be this person but, for a week straight I have been eating anything and everything in sight convincing myself that it's okay because it's Christmas week. I weigh in tomorrow but I did a preview weigh in today and it's going to be a gain on the scale this week. I'm torn between it's okay it's the holidays and shut up there's a way to enjoy without over indulging. GAH

    You cannot change the past

While we cannot undo the past, we can resolve to do better in the future (Christmas time is not so great for starting diets).

I am doing the same thing and not happy with myself. Logging my calories today has been a real wake-up call. Hopefully I can make it up in the next few days after Christmas.

Somehow I managed a pound lost this week. The body is a weird thing. I'm wondering if it will all catch up to me for next weeks weigh in. It's okay onward and upward.. We got this.
  • It's definitely not the easiest week for the scale. The best thing to do is make a sensible plan for yourself, which could be anything that you feel comfortable sticking to, like not eating after full, eating within maintenance, or limiting a specific item that you often over indulge.

However, whatever happens, it's okay. A week of indulging will only be a little blip in the scheme of things. :)

I have been up 6 lbs, down 3, up 2,down 1, still ranges a 4 lb weight gain. I didn't go to every eat thing this holiday and I backed off eating at some, actually went to one thing and ate no cookies. It is hard but if you don't back off some, you gain too much and it keeps coming. I know if I go up over 5 lbs it is going to take too long to get off. Moderation if we can or just don't eat any of certain things.

I've been craving an Italian sub for a while now. Yesterday I did an extra long workout, happened to get a positive report from my doc, and decided to go for it! Today, the scale showed I was about the same, so I did another extra long workout and am being extra careful with diet.
Life would be boring without an occasional indulgence.

I'm relaxing and enjoying the holidays. This is about living, not deprivation, so I'll eat, log and move forward.
