    basically, not optimal :)

Basically no-one said it was optimal and isn't the point of the conversation!

Do you have an opinion on the question "can an 18yo beginner eating at maintenance make noticeable muscle gains in five months"?

I gave you my opinion already.

Might make some gains, but it will not be THAT noticeable or no where near as noticeable as a mild surplus.

Your diet isn't open, so we can't see what your macros or total calories are. That being said, what are your protein levels like? Is it enough to sustain your lbm?

Can you eat non-fat Greek yogurt? I'm not a vegetarian, so your dietary restrictions are beyond me. :D
  • So where should i reduce my portion sizes and how much

  • But when ever i reduce my serving size from my diet plan i start starving and tend to eat more, breaking the 2 hours gap and eventually increasing my overall calories.Second thing, from here if i reduce my calorie intake,it will decrease my protein consumption. So what can i do to reduce calories and get the same amount of protien from my diet without starving. Please suggest me the portion sizes in my diet plan.Remember I'm vegetarian so no egg or meat.

What IS your calorie intake? Is there really 2500ish in that? 'Green gram' is mung bean sprouts? That looks like a small, dull amount of food. How long have you been repeating that?

I'm not being judgmental, I just think when people choose a highly repetitive, highly restrictive diet, they tend to want results fast because it sucks, but I know some can do it for long hauls, too. But if it's been a week or two, it might just take a lot more time to get the result you want. Good luck!
  • yes green gram is mung bean sprouts.I have been following this diet plan for almost 4 months but instead of getting ripped,im getting bulked..and yes herrspoons I know ,I need to cut calories,my question is how can I reduce calories and still get enough protien

Ah hahahahahaha I only read the title and can't stop laughing
  • Actually you already have abs you were born with them. I'm leery of an 18 year old male doing drastic cuts. You are still growing and developing and I'd hate to mess with that.
