Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS at the beginning of the week but suspect I've had it for several years. I'm about 10st so not terribly much weight loss needed, but struggling. Could anyone tell me if a low GI/GL diet has helped? I managed to put 4lbs on in about 3 days over Christmas, and that wasn't crazy eating - it needs to stop now!! I'd be so grateful for any advice, thanks :)

I eat low GI and yes it helps me lose weight, I was diagnosed 24 years ago. when I don't live a balanced low G1 life style I gain weight very quickly.

That's helpful, thanks. Any good books or websites you'd recommend?

    Have you tried Soul Cysters?

I believe 3 Fat Chicks also has a PCOS section. Or maybe group?

You can also look into low carb or Paleo type diet plans. There is a lot of info out there if you google Paleo and PCOS.
