:) Hello Everyone,

I am probably first and foremost the biggest procrastinator and quitter to my New Years Resolutions. Last year my resolution for this year was to lose some weight, although I did lose some weight it was no where close to what I wanted to lose.

So this year my resolutions are as follows and I plan to stick to them NO MATTER WHAT!!!! (famous last words):

1.) Lose 30lbs by May! (Hopefully to look better in a swimsuit before we go on the canoing trip)

2.) To complete all my little crafting projects that I have started and never finished

3.) To be a better person both financially, mentally and physically!

These are my top three resolutions that I hope I can stick to!!!!

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR RESOLUTIONS THAT YOU PLAN TO SUCCEED AT IN 2015?????? WE CAN DO THIS!! NO MORE PROCRASTINATING!!!!! ;)

I didn't see your post and just made one of my own with the same topic
    Here are mine:
    1. Write more--I like writing poems, stories, journaling, etc. I need to do it daily. It makes me happy.
    2. Stop procrastinating/stay focused--I'm a real daydreamer and I need to stay on task with all my goals (big and small).
    3. Get out more--I'm a lazy homebody at times, and it needs to stop!
    4. Organize my home--At work, my desk is immaculate. My house is a disaster. Time to minimize and purge.
    5. Exercise--I currently don't. I need to move more.

    Atleast changing a 4 into a 5 is easier than changing a 3 into a 4 was last year!

I'm going to tighten up my diet and keep working out. Maybe up the cardio. I'm going to finish Body Revolution next month, so I will re-start it in Feb. and up the weights, follow her meal plan and do the kick start week, but instead of the Body Revolution cardio at night, I'm going to do Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. I have 84 lbs left to go until I reach my goal and I'd love to lose the majority of that in 2015. All 84 lbs would be perfect!

#1 biggest mistake in choosing your Resolutions? Too general! Key to success is stating one or two thing in great detail. "More financially responsible", for example. How you gonna do it and what does it mean to you? Not that you want to outline something so personal for us, but for yourself.....
    and write it down.
    Peace.

I don't really believe in resolutions. If I want to make a change in my life, I do it when it's relevant rather than waiting for a "starting point" like New Years.

Yup! I break down my goals into ridiculously small details. But, it works!

  • Obviously lose weight... But I'm hoping, as unfit as I am etc, that I'll be able to run 5k confidently by the end of the year. Gives me enough time I think :P

Learn when to use lose and loose. :p
  • Mine are all related I guess ;)

    #1 - Loose about 30lbs
#2 - Hit the gym at least twice a week
#3 - Quit drinking after work (beer = calories)
    #4 - Quit smoking (I smoke when I drink)

I don't believe in New Years resolutions but I do believe it is important to write down your goals often. The list will change over time.

-- Grow my new business at least 50%.

-- Read the bible all the way through again

-- Volunteer more, meaningfully so...not just show up with a crowd for a few hours.

    -- Get to 15% body-fat

-- Ride the KATY trail as often as possible - this year making some rides one-way destination rides.

-- Revisit this list often and make changes as needed to stay interested, challenged, and succeed.

I don't normally do resolutions, but this year I am.

    1. To lose 6kg by the middle of February.
    2. To lose 20kg by the end of the year.
    3. To read at least one book a month. This isn't a lot, but it's just to get me back into reading more than magazines and online articles.
    4. To do and complete one craft project per month.

I have more grand plans, but I think these four are enough to start. I have taken steps to reach these goals too.
The first is by tracking everything I eat on MFP for a month. I've fallen out of the habit and it's such a simple and effective way to help control how much and what I eat, I need to be fanatical about it for 31 days to get back in the groove.
For the last two, I've gone and deleted some of my favourite time-wasting games. I could kill an evening playing silly games, and as enjoyable as it was, I'd rather have something to show for my efforts like a craft project!
