    Happy hour started an hour ago, and I am here typing my fitness goals! For me that's a Day One success. I'm going on the Dry January plan that's popular in the UK. I figure at least 5 of my 10 pounds to drop will come from exorcising wine from my diet.

    Here we go! I would like to lose 10 pound this month. In the past, I have lost as much as 25 pounds but never could keep it off. So, my resolution this year is to keep it off. I'm striving to make the weigh in on January 1, 2016, 40 pounds lighter. One of the ways I plan to do it is to give myself a new challenge each month. Thanks for creating this support system.

    Struggles or successes of your week: I'm having to start with a struggle because my mom had a heart attack and stopped breathing. The doctors say that if she hadn't already been in the hospital because of breathing problems she probably would have died before an ambulance could have gotten her to the hospital. She may have to get a pacemaker, they diagnosed her with emphasema and tests found nodules in her lungs that could potentially be cancer. I'm definitely a stress eater so this is going to be a major test of my will power.

    hi all! i'm starting this year to (re)lose weight (for my wedding) and hopefully learn more about maintaining!! it's my last semester at college so it will be a little hard to not drink with my friends frequently haha. i'm hoping that if i can keep up with the decent eating for this month, then it will become a habit! i need to take advantage of my campus's awesome fitness facilities before i have to pay a separate bill for them! i went on a cruise a few weeks ago and everything they say about the weight gain IS TRUE.

    struggle: new years was last night and i gave myself the night off, there were many cocktails. but i had a shot that tasted like pistachios, that's totally healthy right?! haha. had a fun night with friends though, and i am back on track today.

  • I am glad to join this challenge. Back in April I started mfp and successfully lost 20 pounds. I then took a break from it to quit smoking and unfortunately gained 17 pounds back :(. Learning to lose weight smoke free is a challenge so I need support.

    Goal weight: +\- 120lbs is my overall goal which is around, from what I've heard, the average ideal weight for a woman. I am more concerned though with the inches around my tummy than my weight so that might change as I lose weight and start seeing a figure lol.

    Struggles or successes for the week: Gym is closed for New Year and I use the scale at the gym hence why I can't update today. So many leftovers from Christmas and New Years Eve; stress eating from all the family gatherings because I have really bad social anxiety ... I just know I have gained a lot of weight since last month :( The silver lining on all this being I can wipe the slate clean and start afresh for 2015 :)
