:smooched: hi i am new to this.. i started on may 1st i have been walking the track and cutting out sodas, juice, etc drinking water water water.. my current is 220.. i want to get to 175 by the end of august.. keeping the faith..and having will power is what is keeping me going.. looking for friends for encouragement.. Thanks you guys.. this is a GREAT site!!!!

But be aware that this is a slow process... you have your goal (as awesome as it is) set at -2.8 to 3.75 pounds a week, that is almost double the recommended weight loss a week of 2 pounds...
I just want to warn you that you shouldn't get discouraged if you don't see that goal met each week..
MFP is a slow but useful and effective process!
