I have been struggling far too long and tired of feeling this way. I have turned off the news in the morning and am walking instead. My goal is to get off the painkillers and blood pressure pills and sleeping pills . I will be 49 this year and I need to lose 65 lbs but if I can lose 49 by my Birthday that would be SPECTACULAR!! This means no sugar and no white flour :) I can do this .

Welcome!! you can do this!! Try to eat a little protein at every meal, protein keeps you satiated. Fat helps too. I don't know how many days until your birthday but set your goal to no more than 1 to 1 1/2 pounds per week. It makes it very hard to sustain an aggressive weight loss goal. Best wishes :)

Hopefully your birthday is towards the end of the year so you can lose it slowly and sustainably. Are you a severe diabetic? I am wondering why you have been advised not to eat any sugar or white flour?

I'm in the same boat. I have scoliosis and osteoarthritis in my spine and I don't want to start meds. Doing my best to avoid it. I need to lose at least 45 lbs. Good luck to you! Support is solo important!

When is your birthday? Good luck! It's good to have a goal to work toward and that one sounds perfect (a nice "birthday gift" to yourself).
