Can't complete my diary entry

Hi guys.. quick question.. I just started using the myfitnesspal app, and there are certain days I am a little under my calories goal, and when I try to complete my diary entry a popup comes up saying I'm not eating enough etc etc. But this never used to happen.. I can't even complete my entry without lying and adding random foods just to see how my progress is going. Does anyone know why all of a sudden this is happening or how I could disable this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have the same and it is silly! I did a cleanse yesterday - regardless of above comment 'eat more' you eat what you eat and the app should allow that entry - surely there is a work around?

"Cleanses" have little nutritional or weight loss benefit. Your liver and kidneys clean you just fine.

Please consider upping your calorie goal. Undereating will not pose you any benefit other than quick weight loss at an unhealthy rate with little nutritional benefit.

Here's a good guide on eating according to your TDEE/BMR.

    ETA: fixed typo

your kidneys and liver stopped working yesterday? Did you go to the ER????
  • If you are eating under 1200 calories you will get that error because that is the lowest amount of calories you can consume without your body going into starvation mode

No. Starvation mode does not exist.

    Adaptive thermogenesis does.

Many people with anorexia like to see how much weight they will lose after eating SFA for the day, so MFP will no longer give you a projected loss if you log under 1000 calories.

It makes no difference to anything except that you don't get the projection, and might not (not sure) get the post on your newsfeed saying you completed. Otherwise, your streak remains, the food you ate remains, it counts towards weekly/monthly/whatever reports...
