Treadmill: Proform or Nordic Track?

Happy Wednesday, MyFitnessPalers!

My husband and I are looking to get a treadmill. Neither of us are athletes - I have 70 pounds to lose/am sadly out of shape; he could stand to lose 20 but is generally fit. We have done the cost-benefit of a gym membership versus buying the equipment and think we'd be more likely to use it at home than go to the gym (as evidenced by our sadly underused membership).

We are looking at a Proform 400 or a Nordic Track T6.5. They're both under $600 (about as much as we can spend at this point) and have decent reviews. We are both walkers/joggers and don't expect to take up running. Anyone have experience with either of them and want to weigh in?

Thanks so much!

If anyone else has a treadmill suggestion of a brand you really like, I'm open!

I can't speak to the Proform, or the specific Nordic Track you mentioned, but I have a Nordic Track C1500 and I love it. It takes everything I throw at it and has room to spare. The C1500 is really made for running (big motor, wide deck), so I am not sure how to translate that to a "mostly walking, some jogging" scenario. But the model you mention is anything like what I have, I would say it's pretty good.
