Surely its good for you? Unless you're eating gallons of it and getting in the way of weight loss then its great!
I have a big dollop of PB every day in my morning smoothie and I'm not a fan of the stuff, its just full of good fats and protein.0 -
I have been craving PB for a couple days, I probably should not have come to this thread. lol0

the problem with it is that well some people can keep it to 2 tablespoons I tend to overindulge (my addiction) so all that added fat and calories isn't good but anyways just wanted some thoughts on the topic I will try to control my cravings
Yes, I find it very hard to limit it to 2T. Peanut butter, along with peanuts themselves and other nut butters, are very difficult for me to handle in moderation. Like you, giag09, if I didn't have kids in the house that eat it then it would be better that I didn't have it around.
I do use PB2 in smoothies, shakes, etc. You are supposedly able to reconstitute it with water for use as peanut butter (on bread, toast, crackers, etc.), but I've never found that to work very well.
I don't usually put my PB on bread or anything. I used to buy apples to dip in it, but all I was doing was eating the apple and then eating the peanut butter with a spoon. Haha.
I still do that - but I like apples!
Anyway, since I love peanut butter so much, I don't want to dilute it with anything! I find I am more satisfied when I eat it on its own.0 -

OR sometimes on toast so it gets nice and gooey.

I dip pretzel sticks in it. My husband puts it on squares of hershey's chocolate. Love it on raisin toast.0

PB is my desert island food. So versatile and sooooo delicious.0

I'm out of peanut butter right now. All that I have in my house is almond cookie butter. I had to hide it at the back of my pantry to keep myself from taking a spoon to that little slice of heaven.0

Is it wrong to admit that lately, I've been preferring Jif?0

I'm into organic peanut butter these days, you have to remix it every time because it separates but I find it leaves me satisfied a lot longer. So much peanut goodness.0

I like the peanut flour (pb2) as a garnish on stuff, excellent when put on some roast pork, and drizzled with a little balsamic.
Almond butter has its use, primarily in baking or sauce making. Sunflower seed butter though is just flat out delicious. Then hazelnut butter, warm it, add melted chocolate, profit.

Pb2. Although it is expensive, it is amazing. I loooooove peanut butter. Before I changed my lifestyle, I could easily eat half a jar with Oreos.0

Oh yes! double stuff chocolate oreos (or in my case, the generic equivalent).
Steps:
1. Open cookie 1
2. Place "half" with filling on plate.
3. Spread peanut butter on the emptier piece and eat
5. Open Cookie 2
6. Repeat steps 2-3
7. Combine cookies 1 and 2, pressing just enough to get the filling to "join"
8. Repeat steps 1-7 with the "new" cookie as cookie 1.
9. Continue repeating steps until cookie 1 has enough* filling on it.
10. Eat filling leaving cookie portion uneaten.
11. repeat step 3.
12. Be glad it is 2 am, and repeat as desired.
Caution: This is not conducive to losing weight. FYI.
*-enough is purely personal preference.0 -
I LOVE peanut butter. I was actually just resisting ordering some new gourmet peanut butters I found. Honestly, if you REALLY love peanut butter, I do not think you would like PB2. I find it pretty disgusting.0

Slice an apple and add PB to each slice! Yummy!! I like the Peter Pan Whipped Peanut Butter.0

I carefully measure ONE Tablespoon (so, half a serving) and eat it right off the spoon...that way I'm getting getting 100% pure PB goodness, not "cut" like the cheap street stuff is.
(I'm just taunting the "it's not an addiction" police)0 -
I love what cdez80421 says! I am still giggling!
I guess I too am a peanut butter *kitten*!
