When counting calories for tuna or sweet corn the calories are given per tin. What happens if you don't eat all of the contents, how do you split the calories?

If you weigh the food on a food scale before you eat it, you can weigh what is left over. Subtract that amount from the original amount, and the answer is what was eaten - so log that amount.0

Yeah I was going to do that but was wondering was there a different way to do it. Thanks0

If you know roughly how much is left you can alter the "amount" when you select that food from the database, eg "50%"0

If you are going to eventually eat the whole thing (like half today half tomorrow) just split it to how many times you will eat it (within reason, if you eat 3/4's today and 1/4 tomorrow split it that way) it balances out in the end.0

I count the whole thing for today. Then tomorrow when I finish the tuna or corn, the calories are already in the diary from the day before.0

Cools, thanks everyone0
