Can exercise count as meditation??

when I'm in spinning class, my mind is free and focused only on my effort and breathing. I'm wondering if this yields the same benefits as sitting still and freeing your mind during meditation.

I don't know but there is such a thing as walking meditation so it might be similar to that.0

Another "yes" vote here. I use my runs as an opportunity to declutter my mind; the mental benefit is almost as significant as the physical benefit to me.0

I think we can consider meditation as exercise. Exercise is to keep body fit not mind but when we do meditation, it keeps our mind stable which ultimately keeps our body fit. check here0
