I have a kinetik HRM up until now i had no problems with the chest strap and now when i start exercising it registers my pulse up to 100bpm then it stops measuring it at the level it should be and i am clearly sweating and heart is racing and its saying its at 60-70bpm... i cant figure out whats wrong with it. i have tried adjusting the strap settings on the watch, i cannot for the life of me figure out why it wouldnt measure my true HR?

I'd guess it's the chest strap battery.0

Battery is low, or the chest strap is in need of cleaning or replacement. Chest straps should be rinsed after each use, left to air dry, and washed every 5-7 uses. Try these things, and if none work to improve your situation call the company for advice.0

Mine quits reporting my HR sometimes too. I chocked it up to too much sweat given that I have to wear the thing under my breasts there's no avoiding that. I stop and restart it and it gets going again.0

Did you check the owner's manual?0

When did you last clean the strap? I have the FT 4 and 7 and periodically find that cleaning the strap helps keep it working correctly.0
