As a teenager I worked for a large farming company. One summer myself and two friends were sent to a strawberry field and instructed to pick the berries off the plants so that the crop would be better the next year. We were told, "Just throw the berries on the ground" Picture three teenage boys after a day in the field. We had some hellacious strawberry fights. After being pelted with huge overripe berries all day we looked like we had been murdered.

I was a CNA (certified nursing assistant) at a nursing home. Cleaned up way too much poop, pee, vomit, drool, etc to last me a lifetime. Also had to deal with violent residents and old guys that would be uh, inappropriate. Oh, AND I had to take care of 2 deceased residents during my time there which included washing them and putting the tag on their toe. It was disturbing to me back then. I went home and cried.

My brother-in-law was a marine in moturary affairs. Over in Iraq he had to go and retreive bodies from the field and then prepare them for the flight home to be buried. He still can't sleep at night. I quit complaining about my job after he came back with his war stories.

I grew up on a dairy farm and then worked on others until I was in my mid 20s.
Have done things that you don`t talk about in public. sick.gif

    ...shoulder deep and then some.

My first love had a racing stable for harness horses. Saw my fair share of births...sholder deep as you say.

I hope someone got a picture of the three of you.

I used to work for this themed restaurant back when I was in high school....officially my job was dishwasher BUT I was made to do the Chicken dance 5+ times a night with this one old man for the crowds. Other than that I had to help detail the old cars, help waitress and take money, and then help clean the animal stalls. The owners were nutz too very old an eccentric.

Oh my....that must have been awful and WAY more disturbing than what I did. Your poor brother in law!!! See, that's a job that I NEVER even thought about. Someone has to do it though I guess. I can't imagine.

I can't either. There are many sides to many jobs that we just don'y think about untill someone shares them. It's a reality check for us all.
