                    Hello!
I have exciting news in that I figured out how to make pecan butter! I think it's better (and definitely cheaper) than peanut butter. I put a cup of pecans in a food processor and ground them until they appeared creamy! You can add a dash of salt or sweetener if you like, but pecans are yummy on their own. I split it into 3 2tb servings. Just throwing it out there for any nut fanatics.
P.S. If you follow Keto, the macros are better than peanut butter or almonds.

 Yum!! 0 -
This sounds delicious, but it would not be cheaper than peanut butter here. Pecans are close to $10 lb in bulk.
Question, do you toast the pecans?0 -

I read the title of this thread and it was like the heavens opened and I heard harps. Pecans are my favorite nuts. Will be doing this over the weekend. Also: Ding ding! Why have I never thought of this?0 -

Nope! They're perfect the way they are. I have candied them! 2 egg white whipped into peaks. Add sweetner and pumpkin pie spice to taste. Mix in pecans. Spread on cookie sheet. Bake at 250 for 1 hr mixing the nuts ever 15-20 min. Noms!0 -
I have some almond butter I don't like it near as much as the peanut but...we have a pecan tree so I will have to try it maybe pecan butter will be better.0
