I've had a decent weight gain over the last few years and my doctor just started me on metformin to help with my PCOS problems. just wondering who else takes it and how they are doing on it? thanks :smile:

    I just started back on metformin. I feel like I have more energy and a little loose stool. :-/

    I have Type II diabetes and take metformin. I was miserable for the first two weeks. My stomach was very queasy, although I didn't have the loose stool that a lot of people seem to have with it. I took half a pill each time until I started to feel less queasy, then I began to take my full dose. Since then, the results have been wonderful. My blood sugar quickly became under control and my weight has steadily been dropping. With any kind of luck, I can stop taking it soon.
