Water Weight?

Could someone please give me a thorough explanation of what water weight is. How much does someone lose in water weight before actually losing real weight. I've lost 6.5lbs so far (just started) how much of that was water weight or am I still only losing water weight?

It's really hard to say. There's no real way to know in the short term. Over the long term if you get multiple body composition tests you can figure that out.0

Everyone is different, but initial weight loss is usually one depleting glycogen stores. After that initial "whoosh", the pounds are real, but remember we often retain water, thus daily fluctuations.0
