My thoughts exactly! Talk about a transformation...0 -
As I say in my profile. This whole thing has been a successful failure. I'm still 40lbs overweight and after trying again to get below 225lbs I still can't even eating a meager 2200 calories a day. Meanwhile all everyone does is talk about how much they eat and how much they lose doing it. My next step is to eventually eat 1200 calories a day and get the whole thing over with.
Well, I think you've made HUGE progress! If that's you in your current profile picture, I don't see "40 lbs. overweight". Maybe your body is happy where it's at? I can't imagine with your muscle that eating 1200 calories would be anything but miserable. Maybe forget the numbers on the scale from here on out and just focus on lifting gains? IDK. Just a suggestion because your pictures show success, but your post sounds otherwise.0 -
Wow!! So encouraging!!

I still have a long way to go. However, in December of 2013 I started this journey (again) and this time I have been successful. In one year I lost 58 pounds and 20+ inches. I still have another 58, at least, to go. I look in the mirror and don't see a difference. We are our own worst critics, aren't we? The pictures have helped me see a difference and have encouraged me. I can't and won't stop. I will be at goal and get this thing knocked out and be in the "maintaining mode" everyone speaks of by December of this year. I would love to say I can go by BMI but I can't. I am 4'9 and not the body of a third grader sooooo I'm going use my best judgement and stop when I feel I've reached goal. I have a fantastic trainer who has helped me immensely. I give all of the credit to her.

Wow! Everybody looks so much younger and happier! Thank you all for your before and afters. It does give me hope and it makes it more realistic that I, too, can accomplish my weight loss goals. So very well done, all of you! (*) (*) (*) (*) (*)0
