Anyone else doing body weight exercises?

Options
I recently found out about body weight exercises.
I'm transitioning from a completely sedentary lifestyle to a more active one and I'm working towards completing a good form pull-up.
I'm following the program outlined on startbodyweight.com

Is anyone else following a similar plan?

Don't forget to add in some burpees. It's just about a total body workout in 1 move!

I am transitioning to HFT2 from lifting iron and using machines. Although I will still use my school's pneumatic machines one day per week.

I do almost entirely bodyweight strength training. All too often people underestimate how strong a person can get.

I train with weights as well as bodyweight. I'm working on a couple of goals:
-hold a front lever for more than a second
-hold a human flag for more than a second
-hold a planche (currently can do semi-tucked)

I also do push ups and pull ups as well as bench press and DB bent over rows.

Yep. I've noticed improvements in my weight training since consistently doing bodyweight.

I'm currently working through "Body by You" (Mark Lauren). It's a little bit slower program than YAYOG (geared toward beginner women, or women who need a slower progression/modifications).

I love it, as I'm not able to get access to a proper gym with access to free weights, and I'm not as concerned about serious gains (more of a general fitness, quality of life thing for me). 3 days a week BWT, with running and walking for cardio 3-5 days/week and once a week core work.

Me too! although I have unknowingly done lots of body weight strength training, i hadn't thought of it as an actual program until recently...always good to do a little research...

I just finished reading Pushing The Limits! by Al Kavadlo and am now reading You Are Your Own Gym by Mark Lauren both are VERY informative.

I think you are off to a good start!

I've also just heard about startbodyweight.com so I'll be looking into that next...what do you think of it so far?
