Anyone else doing body weight exercises?

I recently found out about body weight exercises.
I'm transitioning from a completely sedentary lifestyle to a more active one and I'm working towards completing a good form pull-up.
I'm following the program outlined on startbodyweight.com
Is anyone else following a similar plan?

I do almost entirely bodyweight strength training. All too often people underestimate how strong a person can get.0

I train with weights as well as bodyweight. I'm working on a couple of goals:
-hold a front lever for more than a second
-hold a human flag for more than a second
-hold a planche (currently can do semi-tucked)
I also do push ups and pull ups as well as bench press and DB bent over rows.0 -
I mainly do BWF and supplement with weights.0

I'm currently working through "Body by You" (Mark Lauren). It's a little bit slower program than YAYOG (geared toward beginner women, or women who need a slower progression/modifications).
I love it, as I'm not able to get access to a proper gym with access to free weights, and I'm not as concerned about serious gains (more of a general fitness, quality of life thing for me). 3 days a week BWT, with running and walking for cardio 3-5 days/week and once a week core work.0 -
Me too! although I have unknowingly done lots of body weight strength training, i hadn't thought of it as an actual program until recently...always good to do a little research...
I just finished reading Pushing The Limits! by Al Kavadlo and am now reading You Are Your Own Gym by Mark Lauren both are VERY informative.
I think you are off to a good start!
I've also just heard about startbodyweight.com so I'll be looking into that next...what do you think of it so far?0 -
I'm about 6 weeks in and I like it so far. I would recommend it to another beginner. But I think I might want to try something new at the 3 or 4 month mark.0

I'm doing SL 5x5, but on off days I do bodyrock which is a lot of bodyweight stuff, squats, dips, lunges, etc. Except I like to add my daughter's weight too and wear her in her carrier while I squat and dip her laughs make it so much more fun0
